In July 2011 MIH acquired just over 71% of leading Turkish lifestyle and fashion ecommerce business Markafoni.

Headquartered in Istanbul, Markafoni is the third largest ecommerce business in Turkey and is a local hero brand. Founders Sina Afra, Tolga Tatari and Ahmet Sari founded the company in 2008. The business has operations in Turkey and Ukraine and employs 400 people.
