We recognise that our world must not only become net zero, but also nature positive, for the benefit of both people and the planet.
Biodiversity is essential to our lives, and we are committed to thoroughly understanding our business’s impact on biodiversity to help us mitigate negative impacts.
Our first assessment based on the business models in our portfolio shows that biodiversity impact is limited compared to other business sectors. This is due to the digital nature of our businesses and because our operations mainly involve offices in urban areas with supply chains that consist primarily of service providers.
While we further assess our exposures, we are making our first step by developing and implementing a no-deforestation commitment across our businesses:
In developing new sites for our businesses, we commit to ensuring that we will not clear or convert forest areas. In addition, we are committed to our Etail businesses procuring FSC paper and cardboard products where possible and will increase the share of FSC-certified products purchased.
